The River Project, a marine science field station that works to protect and restore the ecosystem of the Hudson River Estuary and New York Harbor through hands-on environmental education and habitat improvement, is inviting your kids (and you) to its annual Release of the Fishes event, on Thursday (November 3), from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at Pier 40 (in the Hudson River Park, near the intersection of Houston and West Streets).
Admission is free, and kids will help return fishes, crabs, snails, and other denizens of the local deep to the Hudson River, while also watching a live dive by scuba professionals.
