A Competitive Edge

Posted on September 4, 2018
There are eight elite public high schools in New York City that admit students based on their score on the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT).

More than 27,000 middle schoolers will take this test in the fall, but fewer than one in five will earn a coveted seat at one of the schools, including Stuyvesant High School, which is located in Battery Park City.

Test prep courses are widely acknowledged as making a significant difference in a child’s likelihood of admission.

Manhattan Youth is partnering with Tutorverse to offer an SHSAT Boot Camp, a six-week immersion course (starting on September 9) for eighth graders planning on taking the exam in October.

(For families of seventh graders planning on getting an earlier head start, a 26-week prep course for the 2019 test starts on October 5.) For more information, please email info@TheTutorverse.com, or call 646-582-6934.
