The 9/11 Tribute Museum will mark the 25th anniversary of the first attack on the World Trade Center by honoring teachers who create inspiring lessons to educate students.
For the past 11 years, the 9/11 Tribute Museum has honored teachers from across the United States for the innovative lessons they have created to introduce students of all ages to the complex topics of terrorism, disaster recovery, resiliency and community building. Lesson plans from teachers who are honored are subsequently available as a resource for all educators at 911tributemuseum.org.
Survivors and first responders of the 1993 attacks assert that their experiences on February 26, 1993 helped guide the decisions they made on September 11, 2001. Names of the 1993 victims are memorialized at the 9/11 Memorial on the North Tower, a reminder that the attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 are forever linked.
We remember and honor the memory of Robert Kirkpatrick, 61, Stephen Knapp, 47, William Macko, 57, John DiGiovanni, 45, Wilfredo Mercado, 37 and Monica Rodriguez Smith, 35, and her unborn child who were killed.
