New York-based luxury neckwear company David Fin-which designs and manufactures high-end neckwear in New York City (through their factory in Chelsea), sourcing the finest silk from Como, Italy, made on the same mills as high-end brands such as Brioni, Zegna, and Ferragamo but at a fraction of the price-is partnering with John Allan’s Downtown to launch their winter pop-up shop, selling a new collection of premium neckties at very good prices, for a very good cause: sending Madison Marcum to college.
Ms. Marcum is the daughter of Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator John Wayne Marcum, a Navy SEAL who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2008 at age 34.
To help Ms. Marcum attend a university, David Fin chief executive officer David Herzka is working with the Folded Flag Foundation to donate $10 from every tie sold at the pop-up shop toward the goal of raising $10,000 for Madison’s college tuition.
Browse www.davidfin.com for more information or go to the pop-up shop at John Allan’s (95 Trinity Place, at the corner of Thames Street) now through March. As a bonus, mention the Broadsheet and receive a $48 introductory offer for a full-service treatment at John Allan’s.
