| Taste of Tribeca, the annual food-apalooza that benefits P.S. 234 and P.S. 150, will celebrate its 22nd anniversary this Saturday (May 21) with delectables from more than 60 local restaurants, including seven (Bubby’s Tribeca, Bouley, Duane Park Patisserie, Gigino Trattoria, The Odeon, Tribeca Grill, and Walker’s) that have participated every year since 1994.
Among the culinary draws will be Michelin star recipients Bouley and Brushstroke. But there is more than great food to enjoy. The Beer and Cider Tour of Tribeca will be double the size and scope of last year’s event. Hosted by Church Publick, Reade Street Pub, The Hideaway, Warren 77 and others, with beers and ciders presented by returning participants KelSo Beer Co., Gun Hill Brewing, Catskill Brewery, and the Bronx Brewery, the tour will also feature quaffables from new donors, such as Sixpoint, Chatham Brewery, Original Sin Cider, Brooklyn Cider House, and Descendant Cider.

Food tickets (called “Tasting Cards”) are priced at $45 if purchased in advance (atTasteofTribeca.com) or $55 on the day of the event, and provide six tastes from any of the participating restaurants. Those wishing to support the schools (where arts and enrichment programs are funded largely with proceeds from Taste of Tribeca) at a higher level can purchase premium reserved seating, priced at $700 for a table of four and $1000 for a table of six, which includes food tickets for each seat at the table. Premium seating also includes table service by personal food runners, staffed by student volunteers from local high schools, plus a designer t-shirt and gift bag from Taste of Tribeca sponsors for each guest at the table.
And guests are to bring children, for family-friendly fun in the Kids’ and Sports Zones, plus live entertainment provided exclusively by City Winery.
