Arts Brookfield has commissioned Third Rail Projects to create a new series of site-specific, multidisciplinary, pop-up performances. The story unfolds with five performers who unexpectedly find themselves swept into a mirage … an “Oasis.” Over the course of ten daily episodes, the performers find themselves uniting in unexpected ways, chasing the promise of escape only to discover that they wield the power to create their own sanctuary.

This series features one Bach cantata each week paired with a complementary work from composers early to modern. Home of the National Museum of the American Indian in New York, highlights include a discussion of the history of the site, architect Cass Gilbert, viewing the Collectors office; Tiffany woodwork; Reginald Marsh murals; and the 140-ton rotunda dome by Raphael Gustavino. . FREE
