Maestro Goodkind reports:
“The first in our area in a century, our all citizen volunteer band, now nearly 14 years old, has gone viral in the land of fine wines and fancy cheese (France).
A Facebook post linking to the TriBattery Pop’s latest album has garnered an unprecedented 108,000 clicks and rising, of which nearly 93,000 – 86 percent – hail from French IP addresses, mostly young people in their 20s.With their head swollen from the news, our Pops re-entered their favorite recording studio, Dubway, high above the Canyon of Heroes, to record their 13th album, “Lose 20 Pounds In 20 Days” featuring the disco hits of the early 70s.
Taking the summer off after the Little League opener, Borgardus View Garden opening, Taste of TriBeCa, and a gig at a seedy night club on the Lower East Side, the Pops will be back in the fall to perform at the Battery Park City Block Party and the Tunnel To Towers Run.
